What is the Glastonbury Festival like ?
Glastonbury is the Daddy of music festivals, often argued to be the worlds biggest and best music festival. The Glastonbury Festival is not just about music, it also about the arts including Artists, street performers, theatre groups and workshops Tickets for the festival are always in huge demand and the 120,000 odd people who are lucky enough to get tickets are guaranteed an amazing experience. Glastonbury always attract the top bands of today but they have also managed to get legends such as Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey and Rod Stewart to play the famous pyramid stage. Nearly a 1000 acts play over the weekend on stages as well as the Pyramid stage there is the Other Stage, Jazz World, Dance Village, Left Field, Avalon, Acoustic Stage and the John Peel Stage which is home to new bands and old bands trying something new. Away from the stages there is the Band Stand, Cinema Field, Glade, Jazz Lounge, Kidz Field, left field, and green fields. The Festival is very much in touch with charitable and green issues, profits of the festival go to water aid and greenpeace etc.
