Hi:Fi is an unique new dual site music festival taking place at the end of
May 2006. For the first time ever a festival will consist of huge bands
and superstar DJs. The event will take place simultaneously in the north
and south.
The HIFI North takes place on Saturday 27th May at the picturesque Matfen
Estate near Newcastle. As part of the last Bank Holiday Weekend in May.
This is the first time the North East has had its own festival having been
sandwiched for so long between T in The Park and Carling Leeds
Hi:Fi is the brainchild of the Angel Music
Group who are responsible for Godkitchen's Global Gathering event. Also
the indie line up has been chosen by
Glastonbury talent booker,
Martin Elbourne.
Hi:Fi South will be a two day camping festival in the legendary Matterley
Bowl near Winchester. (Home for many years of homelands festival ) taking
place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May between 2pm and 4am each day.
